Albertan job market for french-speaking newcomers is a free employment preparation program that facilitates the integration of French-speaking newcomers into the Alberta labour market.Accès Emploi facilitates your integration in Canada

Albertan job market for french-speaking newcomers helps you eliminate potential barriers to integration! Our employment counsellors offer you free personalized training to help you achieve your employment goals.

You find yourself in one of these situations:

  • You want to become familiar with the work culture in Canada
  • You want to have career counselling
  • You want to acquire work experience in Canada
  • You need support for the recognition of skills acquired abroad
  • You want to improve your English
  • You want to improve your computer skills

Our employment centre is the solution! Our counsellors will provide you with the necessary tools to land a job in any circumstance.

Services

Free services offered in our offices:

  • One-on-one sessions with an employment counsellor
  • CV and cover letter writing
  • Thematic workshops focussing on workforce integration
  • English conversation workshops (2 hrs/day – Monday to Friday)
  • Exposure courses leading to a training certificate (see: Exposure courses)
  • Many customized programs (see: Our programs)
  • Free use of our facilities (computers, printer, photocopier, scanner, etc.)
  • Many other benefits (e.g., free bus tickets and childcare service during Accès Emploi appointments)

Eligibility

Eligibility criteria:

  • French-speaking
  • Permanent resident or Convention refugee
  • 16 years of age or over
  • Resided in Canada for five (5) years or less
  • Little or no Canadian work experience
  • Desire to increase English-language and/or computer skills
