Tasks

Reporting to the Foreman the Pipelayer will be responsible for preparing and installing underground pipelines as required
- Load, unload and transport construction materials
- Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
- Level earth to fine grade specifications
- Ensure blueprint specifications are followed
- Use laser levels, grade rods, or transit levels to ensure correct configuration & alignment of pipes
- Ensure the pipe is compliant with specifications with bedding, grade, and cover compaction
- Ensure company policies are followed to mitigate any damage to both overhead/underground utilities, property, and equipment
- Inspect places where pipes are fitted together to ensure pipes are spaced out properly and according to specifications
- Ensure pipes are bedded and covered with appropriate dirt or other material
- Mentor and guide helpers and new employees
- Know, understand, and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Know and follow the company’s rules, policies, and procedures
